Job Title: Aseptic Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description

The role of an Aseptic Technician involves washing glassware and medical components using designated equipment, performing aseptic cleaning and packaging of products, and working in an ISO-6 cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE. This position requires loading and unloading manufacturing equipment, packaging processed products according to specifications, monitoring process systems and equipment for proper operation, and performing daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks. Technicians will participate in safety committees and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, accurately complete required documentation for all tasks, and clean, sanitize, and disinfect workstations with meticulous attention to detail and high work accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Wash glassware and medical components using designated equipment.
• Work in an ISO-6 cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE.
• Perform aseptic cleaning and packaging of products.
• Load and unload manufacturing equipment.
• Package processed products according to specifications.
• Monitor process systems and equipment for proper operation.
• Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks; assist maintenance team as needed.
• Participate in safety committees and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Accurately complete required documentation for all tasks.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect workstations before and after use.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Will be assigned different processes depending on the client/project they are working with.

Essential Skills

• Aseptic technique and sterilization.
• Experience in cleanroom operations.
• Attention to detail and high work accuracy.
• Industry experience of 1-2 years or relevant laboratory/research experience.
• Knowledge of sterile processing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous GMP and SOP experience.
• Good documentation practices.
• Basic computer skills for using the internal database.
• Understanding of GMP.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working in ISO level 6 and 7 cleanrooms, requiring gowning for extended periods of 6-10 hours with breaks in between. This setting is a contract steam and dry heat sterilization provider serving the pharmaceutical, compound pharmacy, medical device, and biotech industries. The role promises growth potential within the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
