Job Description

This position focuses on handling multi-state payroll processing, supporting billing and month-end reconciliations, managing accounts payable data entry, and communicating with vendors about payments and tax documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for expense reporting and collaborating with purchasing and receiving regarding vendor invoices, delivery status, and related inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for approximately 150 employees on a bi-weekly basis, including weekly timesheet processing for contractors.
• Support billing and month-end reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable data entry and expense reporting.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, delivery status, payments, and tax documentation.
• Collaborate with purchasing on invoice processing.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and expense reporting.
• Experience with invoicing, reconciliation, and familiarity with GAAP.
• Advanced skills in Excel and payroll processing using systems like Paylocity or UKG.
• Knowledge of 1099 forms, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and customer billing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of Paylocity, UKG, or other third-party payroll processing software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree strongly preferred; experience may substitute for education for candidates passionate about growth in an accounting career.
• Organized and efficient, with the ability to coordinate customer visits, travel, and meetings.
• Desire for personal growth and achieving long-term company objectives.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite with some potential flexibility. The team consists of three accounting staff and reports to the Accounting Director and Accounting Manager. The team is small, highly collaborative, and features an open-door policy, allowing for easy access to information about timesheets, PTO balances, and payroll questions. The company culture is strong, growing quickly, and emphasizes face-to-face interaction. The environment is fast-paced, with a tenured team committed to delivering high-performance solutions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longmont, CO.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
