The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for providing courteous, efficient, and culturally respectful service to all hotel guests. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests at Oak Ridge Inn and plays a key role in creating a welcoming experience that reflects the Tribe’s values, traditions, and commitment to hospitality. The Front Desk Clerk performs guest check-in and check-out, handles reservations, and assists with guest inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. As a part-time position, flexibility and teamwork are essential to ensure smooth coverage of the front desk.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel property management systems
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic math accurately
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and always provide excellent customer service Process reservations, room assignments, payments, and refunds
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding hotel services, rates, and availability
- Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate guest records and cash handling procedures
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Promote hotel amenities, services, and Tribal events or attractions when appropriate
- Follow all Tribal, enterprise, and hotel policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
- Uphold cultural awareness and respect for Tribal customs, traditions, and sovereignty
- All other duties as assigned
