The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, team members, and the facility during assigned shifts. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, Field Training Officer, Security Shift Manager, and Security Director, this role performs routine patrols, monitors security systems, responds to incidents, and provides excellent guest service while enforcing all security policies and procedures.
The Security Officer supports daily security operations through alert observation, accurate reporting, and effective communication. This position follows established post orders, assists with incident response as directed, and works collaboratively with supervisors and fellow officers to uphold security standards, internal controls, and departmental expectations.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow instructions, policies, and procedures while working independently or as part of a team.
Strong observational and situational awareness skills in a guest service–oriented environment.
Ability to maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with departmental standards.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a guest service environment preferred.
Experience in gaming security or law enforcement is a plus but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs assigned security duties during scheduled shifts in accordance with post orders, departmental procedures, and direction from the Security Supervisor, Field Training Officer, Security Shift Manager, and Security Director.
Conducts routine patrols of the property to identify safety, security, or operational concerns and takes appropriate action by reporting issues or responding as trained and directed.
Monitors facilities, grounds, and security systems to deter, detect, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
Responds promptly and professionally to security incidents involving guests, team members, or the facility and assists with incident resolution in accordance with training and procedures.
Assists with crowd control, access control, and enforcement of facility rules to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Safeguards the transfer and transportation of currency, gaming chips, fills, and credits in compliance with internal controls, gaming regulations, and departmental procedures, when assigned.
Completes accurate, timely, and detailed incident reports, logs, and other required security documentation.
Maintains the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all security records, reports, and sensitive information.
Interacts with guests and team members in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner to promote a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment.
Provides a high level of guest service by offering assistance, information, and support while maintaining security awareness.
Communicates effectively with supervisors, fellow officers, and other departments regarding incidents, observations, and operational needs.
Attends required briefings, trainings, and meetings and follows all departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned to support security operations and organizational needs.
