What are the responsibilities and job description for the Station Engineer Grade 2 Mon-Friday position at Ace ImageWear?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Maintains and repairs machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines. Requires ability to dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access and repair or replace defective parts. Tools include, hand tools, power tools and measuring devices. Clean/lubrication of parts are also key aspects of this responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have a 2nd degree Stationary Engineer’s License/ Or ready to sit for license

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have a 2nd degree Stationary Engineer’s License/ Or ready to sit for license
- Work from schematics, drawings, layouts to locate and diagnose trouble in the system or equipment. Follows manufacturer’s manuals and equipment/site specific documentation for tracing complicated layouts.
- Must be skilled in the following:
- Electrical troubleshooting
- 240V electrical system, DC motors and control circuits
- 110V Circuits
- Operation of electrical testing equipment, multi-meters, circuit testers
- Plumbing
- Maintaining, repairing all types of plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of steam line installation and condensation return line routing, water lines, and copper soldering
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic Equipment
- Have operational experience in troubleshooting and repair
- Read and understand schematics and blueprints
- Graduation from a high school, GED equivalent or vocational training.
- Three to five years experience troubleshooting and repair in a production or manufacturing plant, hospital, power plant or shipped board maintenance position.
- Must be able to work in an environment with little or no direct supervision.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to work sites.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or operate objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Formal training/certification in welding, electrical, hydraulics, microprocessors and pneumatics
