Accurate Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for an established rubber manufacturing company in Akron, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some maintenance experience or a strong mechanical background who wants to build their skills and grow into a long-term career.

The company is willing to train the right candidate! You don't need decades of experience, but you must have a basic understanding of mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
• Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
• Opportunity: Temp-to-hire with long-term career potential

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with rubber extrusion and press machines.
• Assist with equipment repairs, adjustments, and general maintenance.
• Identify potential equipment problems and help prevent production downtime.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Support the maintenance team with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred; 1–2 years is a great starting point.
• Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems with machinery.
• Automotive mechanics, repair technicians, and mechanically minded candidates are encouraged to apply!
• Strong problem-solving skills, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
