An established accounting office in Barberton, OH is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper who is highly proficient with QuickBooks Desktop and is comfortable independently handling monthly bookkeeping for multiple business clients.

QuickBooks Desktop proficiency is REQUIRED. Candidates will be tested on their QuickBooks skills as part of the hiring process.

FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER SCHEDULE

• Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Beginning in December: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Additional Friday hours are needed as tax season approaches.

PAY

$20–$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling monthly bookkeeping services for business clients, including:

• Inputting and maintaining accurate credits and debits
• Performing monthly account reconciliations
• Completing monthly financial closes
• Preparing monthly Profit & Loss Statements
• Creating and maintaining Balance Sheets
• Reviewing financial records for accuracy
• Identifying and correcting discrepancies
• Maintaining organized and accurate client financial records
• Performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions for multiple business accounts
• Working closely with the accounting office to ensure client accounts are accurate and up to date

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous full-charge bookkeeping experience required
• Advanced/proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop REQUIRED
• Candidates will be tested on QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Ability to independently manage monthly bookkeeping responsibilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
• 2-year degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Accounting certificate will also be considered
• Tax-season experience is a plus
