Job Title: Air Import Agent

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Location: Grapevine, TX (onsite)

We are seeking an Air Import Agent to support international air import operations in Grapevine, Texas. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of air import shipments, including communication with overseas partners, documentation management, customs coordination, and ensuring timely cargo delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including occasional weekend availability, is required.

Key Responsibilities

Airport Transfers

• Monitor flight ETAs and coordinate cargo transfers from the airport to designated warehouses
• Ensure all required documentation is accurate and submitted on time
• Oversee terminal fee processing and maintain accurate payment records

Import Coordination

• Manage the full lifecycle of assigned import shipments from customs clearance through final delivery
• Issue arrival notices and coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams
• Track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain accurate system updates
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status

Dispatch Operations

• Coordinate delivery of goods from warehouses to final destinations
• Schedule pickups with trucking partners and monitor transit progress
• Resolve delivery issues and verify proof of delivery (POD) documentation

Customer Communication

• Maintain consistent communication with customers and account managers
• Provide timely updates, respond to inquiries, and escalate critical issues when necessary
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient problem resolution and customer satisfaction

Billing & Documentation

• Prepare and process invoices for air import shipments, including freight, terminal, and handling charges
• Ensure billing accuracy and alignment with shipment records for month-end closing

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of air import or freight forwarding experience preferred (not required)
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
