Interim Controller | Marietta, GA (Onsite)
Accountants One is partnering with a long-standing client to identify an Interim Controller for a rapidly growing technology integration company specializing in low-voltage building systems (audio-visual, security, fire alarm, and related infrastructure). Backed by a committed private equity firm, the organization is entering an exciting phase of expansion and operational scale.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a finance professional who thrives in project-based environments and can bring structure, visibility, and discipline to a fast-paced operation.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
- Lead financial reporting and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance
- Manage job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- Partner closely with project managers and operations to monitor project performance and profitability
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Strengthen internal controls and help scale processes during rapid growth
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Experience in construction, installation, or project-based industries (low-voltage integration a plus)
- Strong expertise in job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition methodologies
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage, NetSuite, Viewpoint, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset
