What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Accountants One?
Accountants One is working with a Real Estate Company looking for a Senior Accountant. They are adding to the team due to a promotion. This person will work directly with the Accounting Manager/ Controller and will get exposure to the CFO. This is a very collaborative team, and they work closely together.
The Senior Accountant will handle the following:
- Assist with the development and project accounting reporting along with booking investment entries
- Review projects, waterfalls, quarterly close entries, and A/R
- Assist with audit preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting to the parent company
- Prepare forecasts and reports to show the parent company
- Research, book actuals to forecast, and ad hoc reporting
- Treasury/cash management – maintain banking relationships
- Maintain and monitor expenses, corporate T&E, create entries, report budget to actual to key leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- MUST have a CPA or CPA tracking
- 3 years of real estate accounting
- Blend of public accounting and industry ideal
- Or straight from Public Accounting
- ERP system experience
- Team-oriented person who can work in a collaborative work environment
- Must have real estate industry experience
