Deputy Construction Quality Manager – SR400 Express Lanes Project (Atlanta, GA)

ACCIONA is delivering the SR400 Express Lanes Project, adding 16 miles of express lanes and improving mobility across one of Atlanta’s busiest corridors.
We are seeking a Deputy Construction Quality Manager to play a key role in ensuring the delivery of this landmark project to the highest quality standards.
🎯 Your Mission:
As Deputy Construction Quality Manager, you’ll ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards by leading inspections, testing, and quality control processes across all construction phases.
🔍 What You’ll Do:
- Support interface with subcontractors, utilities, and stakeholders on quality-related matters
- Evaluate inspection, examination, and testing results for compliance
- Coordinate testing and inspections with the Utility Manager
- Plan and allocate QC resources efficiently
- Track, report, and resolve non-conformance issues through closure
- Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Proactively engage with production teams to prevent defects and rework
- Oversee material approval processes (incoming, in-process, and final product)
- Supervise inspections and testing across construction activities
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Conduct off-site inspections at supplier and manufacturer facilities
- Prepare monthly quality reports and support audits
- Participate in constructability reviews and methodology assessments
- Contribute to punch list walk-throughs and close-out activities
- Exercise Stop Work Authority when quality or safety standards are compromised
🧠 What You Bring:
- 8–10 years in transportation infrastructure construction
- Experience in a Quality Engineer or QA/QC role
- Strong knowledge of inspections, testing & compliance
- Proven ability to resolve quality issues & drive improvements
- Experience working with Georgia DOT / local market
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
