We’re looking for an experienced, polished and highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to help drive growth by building strong relationships, identifying opportunities and creating new business conversations.

This is a role for someone who is naturally outgoing, confident in professional settings and comfortable representing the company in person. The ideal candidate brings strong emotional intelligence, a genuine interest in people and the resilience needed to thrive in a sales environment. They know how to listen well, ask thoughtful questions and think ahead about client needs and business challenges.

This role includes regular in-state and regional travel for client meetings, events, networking opportunities and relationship-building activities.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & New Business Development

  • Research target accounts, industries and decision-makers.
  • Conduct outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn and in-person networking to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Follow up consistently and professionally to move conversations forward.

In-Person Relationship Building

  • Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, conferences and other market-facing opportunities.
  • Develop trust and credibility quickly with prospective clients.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand business challenges, priorities and buying triggers.
  • Use active listening and commercial insight to uncover opportunities.

Consultative Selling

  • Qualify opportunities based on need, timing and fit.
  • Guide prospects through early sales conversations with clarity and confidence.
  • Collaborate with internal sales leadership to advance qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track follow-up activity.

Regional Travel & Market Presence

  • Travel regularly within the state and region to support client meetings, prospecting and local market development.
  • Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities as needed.
  • Serve as a visible and credible face of the organization in the market.

Performance & Accountability

  • Meet or exceed outreach, meeting and pipeline goals.
  • Stay persistent and confident through long sales cycles and rejection.
  • Refine approach based on feedback, results and market response.
  • Contribute to a disciplined, high-performing sales culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or client-facing relationship roles.
  • Polished, professional presence and strong communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with a wide range of people.
  • Confident, personable and naturally extroverted.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to ask thoughtful, challenging questions.
  • Resilient, self-motivated and driven by results.
  • Comfortable traveling regularly within the state and region.

Preferred

  • Experience in tech, IT or professional services sales.
  • Existing network or familiarity with the local/regional market.
  • Experience with CRM systems and prospecting tools.
  • Track record of success in outbound prospecting, relationship building or pipeline generation.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
