About the Role
As a Field Service Maintenance Specialist, you will serve as a technical authority, traveling to various industrial facilities to resolve complex mechanical and electrical challenges. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing equipment uptime and operational efficiency through expert troubleshooting and proactive system optimization.
Responsibilities- Execute advanced diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V, including 3-phase motors and VFDs.
- Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance and rapid break/fix interventions to minimize production downtime.
- Analyze and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic to identify root causes of equipment failure.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate PLC systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Optimize the performance of conveyor systems, automation hardware, and industrial machinery.
- Install, test, and commission electrical upgrades to enhance facility output and reliability.
- Provide technical mentorship to onsite teams and maintain precise documentation of all service activities.
- Champion a rigorous safety culture by strictly adhering to LOTO procedures and industrial best practices.
Required Skills
- 10 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical or multi-craft maintenance.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing industrial automation, control systems, and mechanical components.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in diverse, fast-paced customer environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on professional, customer-facing communication.
- Physical capability to maneuver in tight spaces, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to maintain a high-travel schedule across various industrial sites.
Preferred Skills
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification.
- Advanced background in instrumentation and control loop tuning.
- Proficiency in utilizing digital documentation tools like Google Suite or Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with pneumatic systems and advanced mechanical drive trains.
