As a Field Service Diesel Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert, ensuring fleet uptime and operational efficiency for a diverse range of heavy-duty equipment. Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures on heavy-duty and medium-duty machinery.
- Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment longevity and performance.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic software and service documentation to pinpoint and rectify system malfunctions.
- Foster positive client relationships by providing clear, professional updates on repair status and technical solutions.
- Document all service activities and parts usage to maintain precise maintenance records.
- Adhere to rigorous safety protocols and industry standards during all field and shop-based service operations.
- Partner with the broader technical team to optimize workflow and ensure rapid turnaround times.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate professional diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals.
- Possession of a comprehensive set of personal professional tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a standard background check.
