accel bi corporation is seeking a skilled AWS Technical Lead – Data Engineering & ETL to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity working directly W2 with accel bi corporation.
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to support a major data modernization initiative for a public health client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS, ETL pipelines, and Java-based backend systems, along with proven leadership experience guiding technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor development teams across data and application pipelines
- Support project and technical managers with architecture and execution
- Design, build, and maintain AWS-based data pipelines and ETL processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define solutions
- Oversee code quality, reviews, and best practices
- Ensure data integrity through validation and testing
- Support cloud modernization of legacy systems
- Optimize performance, security, and cost across AWS environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue, Athena)
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data pipelines
- Strong programming skills in Java, Spring, Hibernate
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, and RDBMS
- Experience in application modernization and cloud migration
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- 7 years of overall IT experience
- AWS Certification (Required)
- State Government experience (Required)
