Job Description:

The accel bi corporation is seeking a skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity working directly W2 with accel bi corporation. We are looking for experienced professionals with strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and AWS cloud environments to support large-scale, mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across development, staging, and production environments
• Deploy, configure, and support AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, and VPC
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance
• Manage patching, upgrades, and package installations in alignment with security and compliance standards
• Implement system hardening, security controls, and least privilege access (RBAC, sudo policies)
• Administer user authentication using Active Directory, SSSD, Kerberos, and LDAP/LDAPS
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, shell scripting (Bash/Python), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Manage backup and recovery processes at the OS level
• Monitor logs, analyze system errors, and proactively resolve issues
• Collaborate with development and operations teams for deployment and system stability
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Linux Administration (RHEL) on AWS
• Hands-on experience managing EC2 instances across multiple environments (Prod/Non-Prod)
• Experience with AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, ALB, SSM
• Expertise in authentication systems: Active Directory, SSSD, Kerberos, LDAP
• Strong experience in security hardening (STIG/CIS), patching, firewall management, and audit logging
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across CPU, memory, I/O, networking, and file systems
• Experience with monitoring tools and log management systems
• Familiarity with network tools such as iptables, HAProxy, or IPVS
• Experience implementing security best practices in AWS environments
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks

Must have Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS storage services (FSx, EFS, EBS)
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Linux certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, or LPIC

Work Requirements:

• Must be willing to work onsite in Raleigh, NC
• Availability for on-call support (evenings/weekends as needed)
• Only candidates currently located in North Carolina will be considered
