Senior Health IT Project Specialist (Remote – NC Preferred)

The accel bi corporation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Health IT Project Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, remote opportunity, with preference for candidates based in North Carolina (Research Triangle area) due to occasional travel requirements.

This role is ideal for a senior professional with deep expertise in Health IT, project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management, particularly within public sector or healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex Health IT initiatives across multiple stakeholders and agencies
• Provide strategic leadership across technical platforms, applications, and program operations
• Drive stakeholder engagement and cross-agency collaboration
• Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations
• Establish and track KPIs and implement continuous quality improvement processes
• Support onboarding of providers and manage technical/vendor support operations
• Ensure compliance with federal funding requirements and CMS regulations
• Contribute to policy analysis, system enhancements, and program strategy

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project/program leadership and stakeholder engagement
• Strong background in Health IT, healthcare systems, or public health programs
• Experience with clinical data and/or Health Information Exchange (HIE) preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex initiatives independently
• Expertise in vendor oversight, procurement, and contract management
• 3 years of experience with federal funding compliance and CMS programs
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with government agencies or large public-sector programs
• Knowledge of health policy and healthcare program implementation
• Strong analytical skills with focus on performance metrics and process improvement

Work Location

• Remote (U.S. – North Carolina candidates preferred)
• Occasional travel (~once per month) may be required
