Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to residents, promoting their dignity and independence.
- Assist with feeding and hydration as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration for residents.
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist with transferring and positioning residents safely and comfortably.
- Observe residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment in resident rooms and common areas.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in meaningful interactions and activities.
- Follow all established protocols and procedures to ensure resident safety and well-being.
- Must hold a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing with the state licensing board.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience working as a CNA in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
