We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a Civil Rights and Commercial Litigation Partner. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of paralegal experience and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents, including discovery demands, PC requests, RJIs, motions, stipulations, subpoenas, notices, and post-judgment filings
- Format briefs and prepare exhibit books
- Perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on legal documents
- File court documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts (NYSCEF and ECF)
- Track court dates and deadlines to ensure compliance
- Maintain a high-volume caseload with excellent organization and attention to detail
- Utilize MS Office (Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Westlaw, ProLaw, and timekeeping software
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and support staff
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Paralegal certificate preferred, but not required
- Excellent client service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively manage workload
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000
