Job Summary:
The Operations Supervisor will work closely with Operations Management to source and ensure adequate labor is assigned to incoming local jobs. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for scheduling employee shifts, booking union and outsourced labor, assigning vehicles, as well as fielding calls in support of internal and external customers. Additional duties include inventory management of company assets, maintaining quality control standards of outgoing and incoming equipment, as well as general warehouse duties such as shipping and receiving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the dispatch, installation and service of PCs, related IT equipment and Audio-Visual gear in the field.
- Assist with production and imaging processes to support incoming staffing business and operational growth.
- Manage the transport, on-site installation, customer service, configuration and troubleshooting of our computers, software, audio and video equipment and related peripherals.
- Schedule deliveries and pick-ups.
- Schedule the work hours of the technical staff to align with job schedules and minimize overtime.
- Supervise the project planning for complex multi-disciplinary technology rentals.
- Handle technical inquiries from clients and coworkers.
- Supervise and develop the technical and logistic personnel assigned to you.
- The Operations Manager may assign other duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated operations experience in the computer rental, audio visual or corporate events industry.
- Management experience in a technical operations capacity very strongly preferred.
- Team player. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to effectively present ideas and information in a professional business environment.
- Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities.
- Strong knowledge of PC software programs, e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook.
- A positive customer-oriented attitude with a desire to continually improve personal and organizational performance.
- Flexibility to travel on a limited basis.
