Senior Director of Accounting & Finance

Our client is an apparel and fashion manufacturer. They seek a Senior Director of Accounting & Finance to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of monthly close processes and daily transactional reporting
• Monitor revenue performance and prepare periodic financial statements and management reports for senior leadership
• Lead coordination of external financial, banking, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities, including oversight of receipts and disbursements
• Strengthen risk management practices through the development and enforcement of financial policies and internal controls
• Supervise tax compliance processes, including preparation and filing of required returns and related documentation
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and procedures to drive operational efficiency and scalability
• Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s funding structure and capital dynamics to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee inventory-related financial exposure and implement cost containment initiatives to protect margins
• Partner with commercial and operational leaders to analyze pricing adjustments, customer deductions, and other factors impacting net revenue

Requirements

• 15 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the consumer products, manufacturing, or fashion/apparel industry
• Combo experience preferred
• Experience with licensing and importing is a plus
• Hands-on operational accounting experience
• Excellent leadership skills
• CPA preferred
