Our client is an investment management firm. They seek a Human Resources Business Partner to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Support Investment and Distribution teams with HR guidance across a global employee base in New York, London, Germany, Abu Dhabi, and Switzerland
- Administer HR policies, programs, and practices aligned with business strategy, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, performance management, learning and development, and culture initiatives
- Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to support critical hires, including interview participation and delivering a positive onboarding experience
- Partner with the Head of Talent Development to identify and implement employee development and advancement opportunities
- Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective actions, investigations, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment and labor laws
- Coach line management on day-to-day performance management, career development, employee relations, and job design to optimize performance
- Align performance outcomes with compensation and rewards in collaboration with the Total Rewards team, including support for incentive and alternative compensation programs
- Monitor applicable employment laws, regulations, and HR trends to ensure compliance and inform policy and practice improvements
- Cultivate strong internal business partnerships by participating in team meetings and maintaining industry and business knowledge
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR team members on cross-functional initiatives, including M&A integrations, new office openings, and growth-related projects
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, Master's degree, SHRM or PHR certifications preferred
- 6 years in progressive HR roles, including time as an HR Business Partner
- Experience in asset management or related industries with financial services
- Ability to operate strategically and quickly, with a hands-on approach
- Strong client management skills with the ability to interact with and influence managers
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience partnering with stakeholders, including HR partners
- Experience with Workday is a plus
- Ability to work on a hybrid schedule
