Position details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Setting: Outpatient only
- EMR: Epic
- Typical patient volume: 16–18 patients per day
Call expectations
- After-hours phone coverage only; no in-person call
- Frequency: 1–2 weekdays per month and approximately 3 weekends per year
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct well-child visits, preventive care, and immunizations
- Care for patients from birth through the provider’s chosen age range
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Board certified as an NP or PA
- Active West Virginia license or ability to obtain one
- DEA registration required by start date
- Pediatric experience preferred
