Location: Petoskey, Michigan - hospital-based locum tenens role.
Schedule
- Weekdays: 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Weekend: 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays
- Weeknights: no call
Clinical Volume & Setting
- Patient volume: ~18 outpatient visits and ~20 inpatient scopes per day
- Practice setting: hospital-based gastroenterology service
- Team: 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers
- EMR: Cerner
- Onsite resources: laboratory and X-ray
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient endoscopy services
- Manage gastroenterology consultations during scheduled coverage
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform indicated endoscopic procedures and establish treatment plans
- Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage (Sat-Sun)
- Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and other clinical staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner
Requirements
- Board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Michigan medical license
- Current ACLS certification
