Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage benign hematologic disorders, hematologic malignancies, and solid tumor cancers
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents, and supportive care
- Interpret labs, pathology, and diagnostic imaging
- Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncology, pathology, primary care, and other specialists
- Participate in tumor boards, quality improvement, and clinical program development
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology
- Eligible for or able to obtain a West Virginia medical license
