Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and accurately labeling them for delivery.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage order fulfillment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and RF scanners to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse by stocking shelves and ensuring products are easily accessible.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and order fulfillment processes.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory tracking and order processing.
- Ability to operate various equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
