Shipping Associate

MWI Components is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and loading customer orders for shipment. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and understands the importance of getting the right product to the customer safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders according to shipping paperwork.
• Verify product numbers, quantities, and order accuracy before shipment.
• Package, label, and secure products to prevent damage during transit.
• Load customer orders onto trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Complete required shipping paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate shortages, damaged products, or order discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Assist with inventory organization and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
• Forklift experience is preferred; training may be provided.
• Ability to use a computer or handheld scanning device as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly bend, reach, push, pull, and lift materials.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.

Schedule

Full-time: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
