Shipping

1. Responsible for proper loading of products onto trailers, including common carriers. Utilizes pick tickets and/or loading diagrams to ensure proper load configurations.

• • Understands product descriptions.
  • Ability to follow prints regarding fitting locations and sizes, inputting/removing fittings as necessary.
  • Understands and uses proper methods for safe product handling.
  • Follows proper procedures for throwing and stacking products on trailers.
  • Uses powered industrial trucks in safe/effective manner.
  • Cleans out trailers, as needed.

2. Reviews quality of products being loaded— assuring that each product meets customer specifications and high-level standards. Notes accuracy of product detail.

3. Assures all loads are properly secured using established tie down procedures.

• • Properly uses ratchet straps and load locks.
  • Secures nets on trailers.
  • Measure load to ensure its legal for both height and width.

4. Shrink-wraps, bands, and/or palletizes products for shipping, secures and labels boxes as necessary.

5. Transports product to the yard. Maintains proper placement, organization, and inventory counts on products.

6. Completes and accurately uses TCM operating system within shipping operations to perform designated tasks.

7. Follows safe operating procedures for area including maintaining: proper loading techniques, personal protective equipment requirements, clean and organized work areas. Works with maintenance to make certain equipment utilized is well maintained.

8. Works as member of the Shipping team, handling whatever assignments are necessary to meet production and shipping schedule. Assignments may include working in other areas, etc.

9. Projects enthusiasm about the company through positive interactions with others, including internal and external customers.

10. Complies with company policies. Participates in company meetings.

Reads and comprehends simple written and verbal instructions.

Ability to operate computer and comprehend basic computing for data collection.

Proficiency with hand/air tools, such as knives, drills, etc.

Mechanical aptitude is helpful.

Experience in operating hand tools (i.e.saws, routers, etc.) and air tools, helpful.

This position works primarily outside. Following quality/customer specifications and work orders, loads, runs, and unloads oven in order to manufacture plastic part. Inspects part, paying close attention to detail and established quality standards.
