Role:
APV is seeking a Supervisory Project Manager to support the Operational Secure Tracking and Reporting (OpSTAR) Support Services Contract for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO).
The Supervisory Project Manager will oversee the execution of training, software development, curriculum development, multimedia production, and operational support services. This role will be responsible for overseeing assigned projects and supervising contract staff within their area of responsibility. The PM ensures projects are executed efficiently, meet stakeholder requirements, and are delivered on schedule while maintaining quality standards and customer satisfaction. The PM serves as a key liaison between the Government, stakeholders, customers, and contractor personnel, providing project leadership, resource management, risk mitigation, and program reporting support.
Duties:
The Supervisory Project Manager will:
· Lead and supervise project teams, assigning tasks, establishing priorities, and monitoring staff performance to ensure project objectives are achieved.
· Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and risk management strategies for assigned projects.
· Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with Government requirements.
· Coordinate with stakeholders, customers, and the COR to define project requirements, priorities, deliverables, and success criteria.
· Provide bi-weekly project status updates, briefings, and reports to stakeholders and Government representatives.
· Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating concerns when necessary.
· Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and reviews both virtually and in person as required by the COR.
· Monitor project performance, quality, customer satisfaction, and resource utilization to ensure successful outcomes.
· Ensure all project activities comply with applicable contract requirements, Government policies, security requirements, and organizational standards.
· Solicit stakeholder feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in program or project management.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
· Experience developing project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and status reports.
· Strong organizational, leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
· Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
