AI Risk & Compliance Analyst

💲 Pay Rate: $60–$70/hour (W-2)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Risk & Compliance Analyst to support the governance, risk, and compliance review of AI initiatives across a large, multi-business enterprise environment.

This role will be responsible for evaluating AI use cases, facilitating governance reviews, maintaining AI inventories, supporting regulatory alignment, and helping business teams adopt AI technologies responsibly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AI governance frameworks, risk assessments, responsible AI practices, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and operationalizing enterprise AI governance while working closely with Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, Technology, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance & Risk Management

• Manage and improve AI use case intake and review processes
• Perform AI risk and compliance assessments for new and existing AI initiatives
• Evaluate AI solutions for risks involving:
• Data privacy
• Confidential information exposure
• Intellectual property concerns
• Bias and fairness
• Transparency and explainability
• Human oversight requirements
• Regulatory compliance
• Review AI-enabled tools, platforms, vendors, and automated processes
• Support AI governance decision-making through documentation, risk scoring, and recommendations

Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

• Translate evolving AI regulations and governance standards into operational requirements
• Support alignment with frameworks such as:
• NIST AI RMF
• ISO 42001
• OECD AI Principles
• EU AI Act concepts
• Privacy and security regulations
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, and Technology teams on reviews and approvals

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain AI inventories, including:
• Use cases
• Owners
• Vendors
• Risk ratings
• Control requirements
• Approval status
• Create and improve:
• Intake forms
• Risk assessment templates
• Governance workflows
• Decision records
• Review checklists
• Track remediation efforts, exceptions, and ongoing monitoring activities

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop governance metrics and reporting
• Monitor review volumes, cycle times, risk trends, and remediation activities
• Communicate AI risk and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Support executive reporting and governance forums

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in:
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Information Security
• Privacy
• Technology Risk
• Third-Party Risk
• Audit
• Model Risk Management
• 2 years of direct experience in:
• AI Governance
• Responsible AI
• AI Risk Management
• AI Compliance
• Machine Learning Governance
• Emerging Technology Risk
• Experience reviewing:
• Generative AI use cases
• Machine learning solutions
• AI-enabled SaaS platforms
• Automated decision-making systems
• Strong understanding of AI risks including:
• Hallucinations
• Data leakage
• Privacy concerns
• Intellectual property risks
• Bias and fairness issues
• Vendor dependency risks
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and standards
• Experience with risk assessments, controls evaluation, remediation tracking, and audit-ready documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience building or improving AI governance programs
