Experienced Septic System Technician
(O&M Level 2 Specialist)
Location: Auburn, WA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $26.00 – $34.00 per hour (DOE)
Service Area: Pierce, King, Thurston, Snohomish, Mason, and Kitsap Counties

Overview:
We are seeking experienced, certified Septic System Technicians with an O&M Level 2 Specialist certification, strong septic system knowledge, and familiarity with Pierce and King County regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and monitor on-site sewage systems
- Operate mini-Kubota's and other equipment safely for system repairs
- Stay current with Pierce and Thurston County codes and regulations
- Read and interpret septic system drawings; troubleshoot and diagnose system issues
- Conduct inspections for property sales and file compliance reports
- Pump and clean septic tanks as needed
- Communicate with customers and manage projects
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and dispatch
- Log and track daily work activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of septic system service experience
- Active O&M Level 2 Specialist Certification
- Valid driver’s license with 3 years of verifiable experience
- Acceptable driving record
- CDL holders must consent to FMCSA Clearinghouse queries
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including mini-Kubota
- Knowledge of Pierce and King County septic regulations
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely
Preferred Qualifications:

CDL with Tanker Endorsement – preferred for pump truck operation

Schedule:
- Full Time Overtime Opportunities On-call rotation (Monthly)

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in septic system service.
- Certifications:
- Active O&M Level 2 Specialist Certification (required).
- Driver's License: Active driver's license
- A clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Equipment Proficiency: Proven ability to operate heavy equipment, including mini-Kubota.
- Location Knowledge: In-depth understanding of septic system regulations in Pierce, and King Counties.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and effectively locate and expose septic tanks, lift heavy items, and perform physical labor in various conditions.
- Work Ethic: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams, meet production goals, and ensure quality service.
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with customers, ensuring satisfaction and project success.
