Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

At A Advanced Septic and Construction Services, we are proud to be Western Washington’s largest family-owned septic company on this side of the mountains, and we’re growing! We’re seeking a skilled Experienced Drain Field Laborer with an O&M Level 2 Certificate to join our Septic Service Team.
This position focuses on drain field rehabilitation and new installations. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of drain field or septic experience, holds an active O&M Level 2 Certificate, and is familiar with ServiceTitan or similar.
Position Summary
The Experienced Drain Field Laborer with an O&M Level 2 Certificate installs, maintains, and repairs drain fields. This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role that includes trenching, grading, pipe laying, gravel placement, and assisting with troubleshooting and system installations across Pierce, King, and surrounding counties. Candidates should have a strong understanding of drain fields and septic systems, along with a high aptitude for plumbing-related work.
Typical Tasks
- Dig trenches for drain field pipes according to specified dimensions
- Lay and align perforated drain pipes
- Place gravel or chambers and connect system components
- Backfill trenches with appropriate soil materials
- Level and grade drain field areas
- Locate existing systems using flags or detection tools
- Perform site cleanup and debris disposal
Requirements
- Active (WOSSA) O&M Level 2 Specialist — ask about our incentive
- Valid driver’s license with 3 years of verifiable driving experience
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Physically able to perform heavy labor
- Drain Field, Septic, Pipe Laying, or similar experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in septic or drain field services
- CDL
- OSM Certificate
- Experience with ServiceTitan
- Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and inspecting systems
- Knowledge of excavation, jetting, stress testing, and repairs
- Experience reading as-builts and compliance reporting
- Heavy Equipment Operation (Mini Kubota): 2 years
