Accounting Assistant

6 Degrees Group is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant role in Lawrenceville, GA. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with experience in transactional accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is skilled in general ledger postings, accruals, prepaid, and cash entries, while thriving in a collaborative yet independent work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.

• Post journal entries related to AP, AR, and cash transactions in the general ledger.

• Assist with accounts receivable, including cash application and invoicing.

• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with audit documentation.

Qualifications:

• Experience with accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills.

• Solid understanding of accruals, prepaids, and general accounting principles.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
