Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes or community settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Transport to appointments, run errands
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s
to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges - Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, reporting concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the client’s living environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks
- Follow individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals to meet each client’s unique needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in home & community care, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care)
- Ability to work with patients requiring assisted mobility techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfers
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical endurance necessary for caregiving tasks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
