Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. The LPN ensures client safety, health, and well‑being while maintaining APD compliance and delivering person‑centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine nursing care within LPN scope and APD guidelines
- Monitor client health, document changes, and report concerns
- Administer medications and maintain accurate MARs
- Perform vital signs, wound care, glucose checks, and other delegated tasks
- Support clients during medical appointments and follow‑up care
- Complete required APD documentation, incident reports, and progress notes
- Educate and support direct care staff on health‑related tasks
- Promote client dignity, independence, and safety at all times
Qualifications
- Active Florida LPN license
- Experience with APD, group homes, or developmental disabilities (preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to person‑centered care
Work Environment
- Group home setting with adults with developmental disabilities
- May require lifting, mobility assistance, and emergency response
- Flexible scheduling; some evenings/weekends may be required
