THE ROLE
Our Account Executives own smaller workstreams and support bigger ones. They’ve already cut their teeth for a year or two and are ambitious, forward-thinking, and itching to lead in a fast-paced agency. AEs keep us moving, working with both mid-and junior-level clients and our internal teams across disciplines on day-to-day account operations. They help Jr. AEs get their bearings, support senior Account folks on larger projects, and support the Partners on agency initiatives. AEs team up with Project Managers on workflow and are our Quality Assurance experts (QA), blessing the accuracy of everything that leaves the building - adhering to briefs, objectives, and deadlines, at the strategic and creative quality expected from 3Headed Monster. AEs jump right in owning projects as the client/agency liaison for local store marketing, retail, print, digital, and social.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- A problem-solving spirit and hunger to learn
- 2-3 years in a creative agency; supervising entry-level talent a plus!
- Fluency in agency terminology, processes, and media channels, has supported senior account folks with production prep and/or shoot prep
- Well-versed in the Google Suite - Docs, Slides, Calendar, Gemini; Asana a plus!
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable presenting
- A great listener that’s starting to see around corners, able to take in information and process it for the team, and quickly suss out what’s next
- Exceptionally organized - detail-oriented, and able to manage and delegate time
- A natural quick thinker that can handle the pressure of shifting between tasks several times a day
- Resourceful, proactive, and inquisitive - solution-oriented
- A cautiously optimistic outlook - enthusiasm, good people skills, ability to look out a little bit beyond the challenges of the day, cool under pressure!

RESPONSIBILITIES
With mentorship from senior Account folks, the underlying mission of Account Executives at 3Headed Monster is to apply the foundations of the discipline to assigned small and medium workstreams. AEs should have a solid grasp of the general roles and rhythms of the agency, the roles of various media the agency produces work for, and some knowledge of production.
- Project Ownership - Own the particulars of assigned projects - objectives, deliverables, and budgets; ensure client timelines are synced with Project Management internal timelines; ensure communications internally and to clients are clear, deadlines are met, and everyone is working efficiently
- Meeting Prep - Coordinate the scheduling of all meetings, ensuring the right attendees are invited, travel information is communicated (hotels, cars, parking, restaurants) to agency teams and clients as needed; ensure conference rooms are prepped for use, clear of any remnants of other confidential meetings, that A/V is ready to rock, and that refreshments and/or meals are ready for guests to the Lair or offsite as needed
- All-Teams - Play an active role in recurring client status meetings, post-mortems, internal department meetings, Monster all-teams, and 1:1s with Managers
- Partner & External Status - Support Managers in ensuring all status documents are clearly updated on designated cadence, and that they’re easy to read and follow
- Meeting Attendance & Follow-Up - Meetings are active! Be an active participant in the discussion and take advantage of practicing presentation skills as opportunity permits; document key discussion, and ensure meeting recaps and next steps are circulated to all attendees by the end of the day the meeting was held
- Working Files & Project Archiving - Ensure the 3HM Server and Google Shared Drive are updated with key documents, in line with established processes per client, including: background and other relevant docs provided by clients, briefs, presentations, meeting recaps, press clippings, media plans, and billing and invoices
- Client Relationships - Establish rapport and credibility with clients; serve as the agency’s primary point of contact on some workstreams
- Agency Contacts - Ensure agency contact list is updated regularly with latest client and vendor contact info for easy reference (and 3HM swag shipping!)
- Competitive - Assist Account team in ongoing competitive analysis (creative work, creative excellence, and media spends) to keep teams smart about our clients and their categories; help prepare reports as needed for clients as agreed upon in Scopes of Work, share out interesting and relevant findings with the internal 3HM team via Slack; learn to start identifying interesting industry trends
- Business Development - Support the Partners on any New Business needs, from collecting prospective client bios to competitive analysis to coordinating meetings
- 3HM/Lair Events - Support internal agency initiatives as needed - seasonal events, happy hours, all-teams, etc.
- Proofreading! - Be an extra pair of eyes, ensuring nothing leaves the building without a second and third quality check, in line with project briefs, objectives, and client feedback; work with Project Management to line up external Proofreading resources as needed
GROWTH PATH
3Headed Monster Account Executives get increased responsibilities as the agency and its clients continue to grow and evolve. AEs are on the path to become Sr. AEs and should aggressively seek out opportunities to learn from the team and take on new responsibilities in order to grow.
