Facility: Kyle 1 - Lagrange, GA Position summary: Ensure a continuous flow of carpet through line by setting up carpet to be backed and sewing ends of rolls together. Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED Skills and experience: Previous manufacturing experience preferred Good communication skills, verbal and written Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment Fork lift experience preferred Essential duties: Pull rolls of carpet from warehouse as per production schedule and stage at sew-on area. Verify that all roll tickets and run numbers match the production schedule and match rolls Notify Line Specialist or Supervisor when rolls cannot be located Help material handler unload production trailers if needed Sew rolls of carpet together using sewing machine. Rolls should be run in numerical order by run number Develop a working mechanical knowledge of sewing machine and make minor repairs and adjustments Monitor carpet as it enters J pan to look for potential quality problems Enter notes in AS/400 when quality problems occur Record length and width on roll log Maintain good housekeeping Comply with safety rules Comply with environmental regulations Be aware of departmental material safety data sheets (MSDS) Ensure ISO procedures are followed. Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
