Position Summary: The Electrician I is responsible for trouble shooting electrical systems, up-grading electrical devices and equipment , as well as general plant facilities modernization. Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED required Tech school certificate preferred Skills and experience: Three to five years of manufacturing experience in the electrical craft Three to five years work experience with troubleshooting, decommissioning and installation of equipment Good communication skills, written and verbal Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment (Lift trucks, JLG's, Scissor Lift) Basic computer aptitude Essential duties: Troubleshoot complex electrical systems with some electronics Familiar with electrical systems including, PLC, DC/AC drives, motors, HVAC, and power distributions Estimate, procure parts, modify and install electrical equipment Maintain housekeeping Comply with safety rules including lock out/ tag out procedures. Comply with environmental regulations Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Ensure ISO procedures are followed. Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
