• SALES SKILLS: Able to qualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, answer questions and objections in an effective and responsible manner. Aggressively manages proposals to close sales.
• MARKET DEVELOPMENT: Able to identify prospects in assigned market. Promptly follow up on leads and referrals. Establish Customer rapport and identify needs. Maintain an active backlog of quotes to assure that the booking goal is consistently met.
• CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Promptly address Customer concerns to assure resolution and maintain long-term positive relationships. Keep in mind that the Customer's satisfaction is utmost in importance; and positive communication is key to this goal.
• SALES PRESENTATION STRATEGY: Understand the prospect's organization and decision-making process. Anticipate and answer objections. Commit the prospect to a decision-making timetable.
Role
The Business Development Executive reports to the President and is responsible for achieving the annual booking plan. This person will be calling on industrial and commercial accounts. Responsible for to selling and closing an agreed-upon annual sales plan after completing the initial best-in-class sales training program.
Responsibilities
- TIME MANAGEMENT: Ability to plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to assure maximum productivity.
- ACCOUNT EXPANSION: Able to increase existing Customer maintenance coverage and/or other services.
- RELATIONS: Build rapport and productive working relationships with prospects, Customers, vendors, and other outside agents. Represent the company in a professional, positive, honest, and ethical manner at all times.
- SURVEYS AND PRICING: Able to survey electrical systems; able to interpret drawings, equipment, and job conditions. Properly apply Company pricing policy and the proprietary pricing system and to combine both into a proposal format.
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience selling service agreements, preferably in the electrical industry.
Compensation & Location
This hybrid position will be based out of Alsip, IL, along with a home office. This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, aggressive commission plan, company vehicle or monthly auto allowance with gas card, 401K plan with company match, cell phone, laptop/tablet, and health insurance.
