The Lead HRIS Analyst/Workday performs and leads the work in maintaining, enhancing, and implementing facets of the core HCM system, Workday.

The position provides functional and technical expertise and leadership in support of Workday system and processes. The Lead HRIS Analyst/Workday collaborates with corporate and field HR departments, IT, and other functional areas to identify process, system and reporting enhancements and modifications. The position evaluates, recommends, and implements best practices, develops new processes, and implements solutions based on business requirements. In addition, the position is responsible for the management and communication of business processes to relevant stakeholders to promote optimum efficiency using Workday.

  • Service as a Subject Matter Expert in Workday technology. Handle complex issues and work to provide solutions, performing work with a high level of latitude.

  • Provide support and implement solutions in Workday for all modules including, HCM, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance and Talent, Time-Tracking, Absence and Payroll.

  • Support end-users for Workday Business Processes and system functionality. Provide training, guidance, and other support to end-users.

  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentoring to other team members

  • Provide detailed analysis, develop recommendations, and apply results to improve business operations in existing or new functionality within Workday

  • Manage independently large and/or complex projects or initiatives. Recommend and implement modifications to existing processes, new processes, integrations, functionality, and solutions.

  • Provide guidance and expertise on HR reporting needs. Write, generate, and maintain reports and metrics for HR team and company. Primarily generate complex reports and metrics but may assist with routine reports/metrics as needed.

  • Maintain or lead/guide other team members relative to security policies and best practice in Workday.

  • Stay abreast of Workday capabilities and roadmap items. Identify and recommend opportunities for operational excellence to maximize process and systems efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; or equivalent experience in lieu of education

  • 8 years of HRIS experience required; Workday experience required

  • Experience in Workday Business Process Structure, Reporting and Security

  • Experience with multiple Workday modules; Payroll, HCM, Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation, Performance and Talent, Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Experience in implementation of Workday system and/or specific new functionality or modules

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users and facilitate effective outcomes

  • Strong understanding of HR concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills essential

  • Demonstrated record of process improvements and enhancements required

  • Ability to lead effectively through change essential

  • Strong customer centricity necessary
