Bulk Chemical Tanker Truck Driver

The Zschimmer & Schwarz Interpolymer division is headquartered in Louisville KY where we produce chemical ingredients including Acrylic Emulsion Polymers for the floor coatings, personal care, and the paints and coatings markets. The Interpolymer site is growing and looking for a Truck driver with tanker endorsement to deliver products to customer sites.

Job Summary:

As a truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering chemicals to our customer sites using commercial trucks. Your primary duty will be to ensure the safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle long hours on the road. You will be guaranteed 40 hours per week. Most trips are 2 nights or less on the road.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate and maintain commercial trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload liquid chemicals.
• Plan routes to customer sites to maintain delivery schedule.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards, ensuring the safety of yourself, other road users, and the cargo being transported.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of driving activities, including logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and completed deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, resolve any issues, and provide updates on delivery status.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries, addressing complaints or concerns, and representing the company in a professional manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, vehicle maintenance, and cargo handling.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screen
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Prior experience as commercial truck driver.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
