At Zscaler, we're on a mission to make the internet safe for every user, anywhere. We are looking for a Staff/Principal Product Manager to join our Zscaler platform initiatives product management team and have a direct impact on our roadmap. In this role, you will own one or more product areas and lead the design of solutions for Zscaler platform. You must possess a blend of business and technical skills, have a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality with extreme attention to detail. This role consists of both inbound Product Management responsibilities – working with internal cross functional teams to build and enhance products – as well as outbound responsibilities, interacting with customers, executing go-to-market strategy, and supporting sales.

Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the unified user experience for internet access, SaaS and private applications security in alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to bring products to market and ensure their success.
• Customer Engagement: Directly engage with customers to understand their challenges, gather product feedback, and identify new opportunities.
• Hands-on product leader: Ability to hold technical discussions with customers and engineering stakeholders, author product requirement documents; collaborate with engineering and lead Jira stories planning etc. 
• Market Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis and stay abreast of the latest trends in cybersecurity platforms. 
• Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring that products meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Internal Advocacy: Act as the internal subject matter expert, providing training and support to sales and other teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7-10 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on building platforms at scale and cybersecurity.
• Platform and User Experience: Prior experience in building SaaS platforms, Security and user experience design is required. 
• Technical Proficiency: Understanding of Proxy Architecture, HTTP, DNS, SSL, Malware Detection, IPS, Advanced Threat Protection, Sandboxing, and endpoint security. Familiarity with cloud-based security solutions, familiarity with Zscaler's offerings, is a plus.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
• Customer-centric: Strong customer engagement skills with a knack for understanding and translating customer needs into product requirements.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and devise appropriate strategies. Strong problem solving skills. 
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly and effectively.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s or MBA is a plus.
