Cycle Counter – Position Summary

The Cycle Counter position is responsible for continuous cycle counts of inventory in a timely manner. The Cycle Counter researches all data available to resolve discrepancies and assists on building and adhering to proper inventory control and procedures. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and may also receive direction from the Management Staff. Provides an essential function to the overall ability of Zpacks to maximize inventory/inventory control efficiencies.

Job Duties

· Confer or correspond with establishment departments to rectify inventory opportunities

· Perform physical inventory count and compare results with system data

· Research/investigate inventory discrepancies between physical and system counts

· Resolve inventory opportunities in a timely manner

· Communicate cycle count findings to Supply Chain Manager

· Make recommendations about ways to improve process/inventory efficiencies

· Monitoring and controlling of inventory integrity

· Adheres and assists in building cycle counting procedures and guidelines

· Maintains count records and data files

· Investigate origin of discrepancies

· Other duties as assigned

Job Related & Physical Requirements

· Follow Safety Policy guidelines without restriction

· Perform duties as instructed by Supply Chain Manager or member of the management team

· Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours as needed

· Bending/lifting is repetitive and must follow proper lifting techniques as outlined in Zpacks Safety Policy

· Must be able to stand and walk for continuous periods of time

· Must have experience operating a pallet jack & high step-rolling ladders

Experience, Education, and Training

· HS Diploma or equivalent

· 6 months – 1 year of manufacturing/inventory experience

· 6 months – 1 year related experience within manufacturing industry

· Computer applications experience using MS Office and ERP operating systems

· Organizational Skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment performing repetitive tasks

· Ability to take direction while working independently

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

· Must be able to follow policies and safety procedures

Other Requirements

· MUST be able to start shift daily no later than 8am/5 days a week with a minimum of 40 hours per week equally distributed

· Flexibility in schedule based on business need

· Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
