Zoox is Hiring a Software QA Engineer Near Foster, CA

Software QA Engineer w/Zoox Inc. (Foster City, CA) (Multiple Positions) Responsible for accelerating product development by helping software developers build the safest and most reliable autonomous driving software possible through QA testing. Create software test strategies and test plans for self-driving behavior features. Design, develop, and execute synthetic test scenarios on an in-house simulation test framework. Identify, track, report, and resolve test issues with cross-functional software development teams. Maintain high-quality standards for driving software features using metrics and test results. Utilize Cypress automation framework to write automation scripts for UI changes, enhancing test coverage and improving overall product stability. Own the quality of a product from inception to release. Work with developers and the automation team to produce the best test coverage. Create bug reports and findings to the product team. Give recommendations for go/no-go release calls. Analyze opportunistic areas for automation. Utilize Cypress, System testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, JIRA, and Testrail. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field. Requires two (2) years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Analyst, Software Engineer, or related. Experience must include: planning and creating software QA tests strategies and test plans; leading QA test automation by designing test plans; developing automation test suites; providing integration and regression triages for software releases; performing bug reporting, tracking, and validation; and performing manual and automated testing of frontend, backend services, and APIs. Must include experience utilizing System testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, JIRA, and Testrail. Telework permitted within commuting distance to worksite. $151,000-$180,400/year.
