Compensation: $55,000 Annual Base Salary plus Commission

The Outside Sales Specialist is responsible for not only maintaining existing manufacturing and industrial accounts, but also generating new ones within the Cincinnati & Central Ohio markets. This position will be responsible for generating new projects for all services within NIX (Metal Fabrication, Machining, Media Blasting, Powder Coatings, Liquid Coatings, On-Site Coatings) in a variety of industries (manufacturing, transportation, commercial, heavy industrial, agricultural, and government). This position requires minimal overnight travel.

Our ideal candidate will…

• Service existing manufacturing and industrial accounts with exceptional customer service.
• Generate potential and new manufacturing and industrial accounts by qualifying potential leads.
• Daily follow ups with customers and prospects using different touch points (email, phone, face to face, LinkedIn, virtual meetings, and cold calling)
• Provide customers with product knowledge and design solutions for potential projects.
• Provide Engineers, Project Managers, and Estimators with the necessary information to help generate designs, estimates, and proposals for customers.
• Assist in the management of the project through the entire production lifecycle.
• Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork.
• Participates in all requested job-related training and development, as well as taking an active interest in improving skills with other training programs
• Follows all company and common sense safety policies, while using required personal protective equipment

Desired Qualifications

• Sales or customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and/or machining is preferred
• The ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
• Strong organizational skills
