Role

Zoho seeks an in-house architect to work in person at its Austin office. We're taking up multiple large-scale office projects - both renovations and new builds - throughout central and south Texas in the next few years.

Skills

• licensure required
• familiar with current permit and regulation requirements, including ADA accessibility, MEP, structural, and solar
• comfortable and adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders: designers, engineers, project managers, builders, etc.
• experience in detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision
• preference for traditional buildings and materials (in general, we eschew modern architecture in favor of historical designs informed by the local culture)
• preferred: proficient in SketchUp

Responsibilities

Our top performers don’t let their job title or assigned responsibilities restrict their contribution to the company. Responsibilities are not restricted to:

• design multiple office buildings and surrounding landscapes
• review and analyze construction plans and specifications to ensure they meet permit, regulatory, and quality standards
• conduct regular on-site inspections of construction sites to ensure that work is being done according to plans and specifications
• identify and resolve quality issues and communicate them to the construction team
• travel to Del Valle, New Braunfels and McAllen as needed for ongoing projects
