ZLA Solutions has a client seeking Production Associates for a manufacturing client located in Cullman, AL.

Job Description

Production Associates are responsible for operating equipment in a factory or warehouse to manufacture products or prepare items for distribution. These associates may perform repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products as well as stock, pick, or pack merchandise for customer orders.

Job Schedule / Pay Rate

1st Shift
> Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm
> $15.75 / hour

2nd Shift
> Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-12:00am
> $16.50 / hour

3rd Shift
> Mon-Fri, 11:00pm-7:30am
> $16.50 / hour

Possible Job Responsibilities

• Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications
• Place parts in specified relationship to each other
• Use bolts, clips, or screws to fasten parts together
• Tend to machines, such as automated machinery, to perform operations on an assembly line
• Rotate through multiple stations on a shift in order to be familiar with all processes
• Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy
• Routinely practice the "6 S's" (safety, sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain)
• Ensure that the workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials
• conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
• Pack up completed products and prepare them for shipment
• Proper picking of merchandise for orders
• Ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory
• Report issues or problems with production (equipment defects) to supervisor
• Observe and remove faulty products/parts from assembly line
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours as needed
• Must be able to routinely lift 15-25 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to read and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to analyze problems involving production and notify proper people
• Familiarity with the metric system
• Must be able to work 12 hours shifts
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (note: a misdemeanor/felony record may not necessarily prevent you from being employed)
