Software Release Control Manager (on-site, Dallas, TX)

Summary (on-site)

We are seeking a talented Software Release Control Manager this position will play a crucial role in ensuring that all software releases, updates, and patches for Ziosk's range of products are efficiently managed and executed. You will work closely with software developers, quality assurance teams, product managers, and other departments to manage and optimize the end-to-end software release process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire software release lifecycle for Ziosk's products, ensuring timely and efficient rollouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define release schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
• Ensure that all software releases are in compliance with established standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on the status, risks, and progress of releases.
• Create and maintain release documentation and roadmaps.
• Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure software is rigorously tested and ready for release.
• Drive process improvements to optimize release cycles and ensure scalability.
• Address and resolve any release-related issues or conflicts, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the release management team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in release management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in software release management or a related role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle models, agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
• Strong Jira skills with the knowledge to change workflows and optimize Jira processes.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills and a keen eye for details.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Familiarity with Ziosk's product line is a plus.
