The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Practice Manager in the overall administration and coordination of the medical practice. This role ensures efficient functioning through staff management, compliance with healthcare regulations, and improvement of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
• Conduct an inventory of current equipment and supplies to identify what is missing, needs replacement, or upgrading.
• Contact suppliers to input orders based on what equipment or supplies are needed.
• Implement and maintain office policies and procedures.
• Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate necessary information regarding practice policies and changes.
• Ensure the practice complies with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
• Monitor and report on financial performance.
• Enhance patient experience and satisfaction through effective service delivery.
• Handle patient complaints and resolve issues to maintain high standards of care.
• Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of medical and office equipment.
• Implement new technology systems that improve practice efficiency.
• Serve as a liaison between the practice manager, medical staff, and external parties.
• Ensure effective communication systems are in place.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in healthcare management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in healthcare IT systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.
