ZINK HOLDINGS GROUP is Hiring a Buyer II / Purchasing Coordinator Near Whitsett, NC
Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
General and Task Management
Quickly learn and utilize ZINK’s MRP and purchasing software and processes.
Working from requests and from MRP planning tools, process purchases of goods, materials, components and services that meet cost, quality and delivery targets and purchasing strategies.
Energetically implement corporate value / quality / cost integrity strategies that include elements such as multiple qualified quotes, multiple supplier relations, optimized payment terms and shipping method.
Monitor and communicate any supply problems or opportunities to management and to requestors which may impact on business operations.
Act as an interface between suppliers and ZINK quality control, engineering, product development and operations on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
Provide analysis and maintain costs and look for cost reduction opportunities.
Work closely with corporate, engineering, quality and development to find opportunities for continuous improvement and business opportunities.
Negotiate contracts, improve reliability, quality, pricing / value and terms of business with suppliers and review.
Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications. Compile data relating to supplier performance.
Conduct research for new components and suppliers.
Prepare reports and updates as and when required.

Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem solving abilities.
Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets independently.
Good understanding of purchasing, receiving, financial/accounting, inventory and manufacturing processes
Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown.
Experience of working closely with suppliers, and able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities.
College Degree preferred but on the job experience is more important.
